Confederate Regiments & Batteries

Florida contributed more than 15,000 men to the Confederat war effort. While a small number overall, due to Florida’s small population it was the largest percentage of available men of military age from any state of the Confederacy. Of these about one third died in action or of disease, and many others were wounded and disabled.
