June 9 Major John Pitman was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel, Captain John H. Powell of Company L was promoted to Major, and Benjamin Slocum was promoted to Captain of Company L.
July 1 Moved to Fairfax Seminary, Va.
July 3 Lieutenant Colonel John Pitman was promoted to Colonel. Major John Powell was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel, and Regimental quartermaster George L. Cooke was promoted to Major.
