Organized at Marietta, Ohio. It was one of the “Hundred Days Men regiments” intended for short term rear echelon duties in the summer of 1864.
May 17 Mustered in under Colonel Thomas W. Moore
May 23 Left State for Harper’s Ferry, W. Va. A railroad accident killed three men and seriously wounded three others en route.
June 1 Moved to Washington, D.C.
June 9 To White House Landing, Va.
June 11 Moved to Bermuda Hundred, Va. and
June 15 To City Point. Attached to 1st Brigade, 3rd Division, 10th Army Corps, Army of the James.
September 5 Moved to Marietta, Ohio
September 14 Mustered out
