Summer The Turner (Virginia) Artillery was organized in Goochland County under the command of Captain Walter Daniel Leake.
August 29 Mustered in for one years service.
December Assigned to the Department of South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.

Port Royal Ferry
May 12 Reorganized for the duration of the war.
August Moved to Virginia and assigned to Drayton’s Brigade, D.R. Jones’ Division, Longstreet’s Command, Army of Northern Virginia.

Second Battle of Manassas (Bull Run)
September Assigned to Artillery Battalion, D.R. Jones’ Division, Longstreet’s Command, Army of Northern Virginia.
October 4 Disbanded and the men assigned to the King William Battery.
