April 23 | Moved by rail to Chambersburg and duty there as part of Patterson’s Deparment of Pennsylvania, where Colonel William Irwin arrived to take command |
May 15 | The ladies of Chambersburg presented the regiment with a national flag. |
June 8-9 | To Greencastle and on to Camp Williams |
June 10-14 | At Camp Williams. Attached to Williams’ 3rd Brigade, Cadwalader’s 1st Division, Patterson’s Army |
June 14-16 | Advance through Hagerstown and on to Williamsport |
June 25 |
Skirmish with Cavalry |
July 2 | Forded the Potomac and marched to Martinsburg |
July 3 | Occupation of Martinsburg |
July 7 | Captain Gerard and Lieutenant Enright with fifteen men captured three Confederate pickets. |
July 15 | Advance on Bunker Hill |
July 20 | At Keyes Ford |
July 22 | Ordered to march via Shepherdstown to Hagerstown and then to proceed by rail to Harrisburg. |
July 29 | The 7th Pennsylvania Infantry Regiment mustered out. Colonel Irvin would go on to be Colonel of the 49th Pennsylvania Infantry Regiment. |
