March 2 to May 4 Companies A, B, C, D, H, I, K were assigned to guard and outpost duty by detachments on railroad between Newberne and Morehead City. Companies A and C at Morehead City, B, D, H and I at Newport. K at Evans’ Mills. E and F at Beaufort and G at Brice’s Ferry with Headquarters at Beaufort.
March 30 to May 5 Company C was assigned to Fort Macon, Companies B, D, H and I to Newport, K to Evans’ Mills. E and F to Beaufort and G to Brice’s Ferry. Headquarters was at Beaufort, North Carolina.
May 4 Moved to New Berne
June 24-28 Attached to 8th Corps, Middle Deptartment. Moved to Fort Monroe, Va., thence to White House
