Organized at Camp Chase, Ohio. It was one of the “Hundred Days Men regiments” intended for short term rear echelon duties in the summer of 1864.
May 15 Mustered in under Colonel George W. McCook
May 17 Left State for Baltimore, Md. Assigned to Tyler’s Command, 8th Army Corps, Middle Department for duty in the Defenses of Baltimore and at Fort Delaware guarding Confederate prisoners.
September 2 Mustered out
