Stone of Company K was killed, Captain Robert W. Livingston of Company F was twice wounded, Captain Henry S. Ransom of Company I was wounded, losing his arm, and Captain James H. Pierce of Company C and Captain Dennis Stone of Company G were captured.

The regiment lost 1 officer and 13 enlisted men killed or mortally wounded and 1 officer and 17 enlisted men wounded. Captain Jacob Parmeter of Company E was wounded, losing his leg, and was discharged for disability.

First Assault on Petersburg

The regiment lost Major Charles E. Pruyn and 6 enlisted men killed or mortally wounded and 1 officer and 13 enlisted men wounded.

June 19

Siege of Petersburg

In trenches before Petersburg and on the Bermuda Hundred front. The regiment lost 8 enlisted men killed or mortally wounded and 35 wounded dring the siege. First Lieutenant John Brydon of Company E was promoted to Captain of Company K.

August Captain Levi S. Domini of Company B was promoted to major.
September Colonel Oliver Keese was discharged for disability. Lieutenant Colonel George F. Nichols was promoted to colonel. Major Levi S. Domini was promoted to lieutenant colonel, and Captain John L. Cunningham of Company D was promoted to major.
