Lieutenant General Ambrose Powell Hill (k 4/2)
Major General Henry Heth
Hill’s death at Petersburg on April 2, 1865 was the end of the Third Corps. Major General Henry Heth briefly took command, then the survivors were merged into the First Corps and surrendered a week later at Appomattox.
